Mountwest Paramedic Program Offers New Certification Options

New certification options are now available through the Mountwest Community & Technical College Paramedic Program. The next course being held at the HealthTeam Critical Care Transport Training Center in Charleston, West Virginia will begin on August 17, 2020.

Students enrolled in the program can become a Nationally Registered Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) in one semester. In one and a half semesters, students can become a West Virginia AEMT. All three semesters must be completed for Paramedic certification. All three certifications can be completed in less than a year.

Informational sessions have been scheduled to allow prospective students an opportunity to learn about the course and the new certification opportunities. Instructors can also answer any questions regarding the application process or course curriculum.
